A practice notebook for chacarera, zamba, gato, escondido and cueca.
Getting started
Media Vuelta opens straight into Contar, the practice counter, with the chacarera simple already loaded. From there:
Use the tab bar to move between Contar (the counter), Danzas (the reference), Diario (your practice log) and Muestra (your upcoming show or peña).
Tap the dance name in Contar to switch which dance the counter is running.
Tap a figure in the strip to flag it as shaky — it will show up in your Diario's "flojas" list so you know what to revisit.
Everything you enter is saved automatically on your device; there is nothing to sign in to and nothing to sync.
Frequently asked questions
Does Media Vuelta need an internet connection?
No. The app works fully offline. All of your dances, log entries and settings are stored only on your device.
Why doesn't a dance in the app match exactly what my profe teaches?
Figure sequences follow the structures commonly taught at folklore academies, but regional and school variations are common. Where your class differs, always follow your profe — Media Vuelta is a memory aid, not a substitute for instruction.
Can I attach a photo to a practice log entry?
Yes. When editing an entry or a vestuario item you can take a new photo or choose one from your photo library. The photo is only ever stored locally in the app.
How do I turn on practice reminders?
Open Ajustes and turn on the daily practice reminder, or open a muestra and turn on its reminders. The app will ask for notification permission the first time you do this.
How do I reset my progress?
Ajustes → Reset all progress. This clears your log, flags, medals and muestra data from the device. It cannot be undone.
I found an issue with a figure count or a dance description.
